Having streak free windows is a wonderful thing. Yet, few know how to do it.
You’ll need a:
- Squeegee (One side foam, one side wiper)
- Ordinary towels
- Methylated spirits
- Household dishwashing detergent
Step 1 – Fill your bucket with warm water. Add a dash of the dishwashing detergent and a generous amount of methylated spirits (you can’t really add too much).
Step 2 – Use the foam side of the squeegee to wash the window. The amount of work here will depend on just how dirty the glass is. Put the towels below the window to prevent further mess.
Step 3 – Turn the squeegee around and wipe off the soapy water. Experiment with this to find the motion that you prefer. Use there terrycloth to finish the job.
Don’t waste money on chemical glass cleaners, try the above formula instead. The methylated spirits helps reduce streaking and helps the glass to dry faster. When you are trying to clean glass in windows, you will want to work as quickly as you can. This is the best way to get your glass streak free.
