About Annealed float glass

Annealed float glass is the plain glass product that most people picture when thinking about glass.

You will find this in standard windows around the house like bedroom and kitchen windows.

It is relatively inexpensive when compared to its more specialised counterparts.

It’s negatives are that it shatters into sharp shards if it breaks.

This is considered dangerous for installation in certain areas, such as below waist level, or in and around doors.
