True Blue Glass, a proud Logan-based business, has been awarded a $75,000 grant from the Queensland Department of Employment, Small Business and Training. This grant will enable significant upgrades to its manufacturing plant, enhancing productivity, improving quality, and increasing capacity to support future growth.
This funding is part of the Queensland Government’s ongoing commitment to support small businesses across the state. The grant program aims to help local enterprises strengthen their capabilities, embrace innovation, and seize high-growth opportunities that drive economic development.
Starting from humble beginnings as one man working from his home garage, True Blue Glass has grown to become one of Queensland’s largest independent glazing companies, serving Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and Ipswich. The company’s growth is fuelled by a commitment to agility, safety, and sustainability, as well as a relentless focus on improving efficiency, streamlining operations, and reducing waste.
The grant will support the purchase of a state-of-the-art Phantomatic M3 CNC machine, a powerful and precise tool for cutting and shaping aluminium and light metals. This technology is critical for window and door manufacturing, as it enables fast, efficient, and accurate production with automatic tool switching and minimal waste.
The new machine will allow True Blue Glass to enhance production capacity, improve quality, and drive innovation across its operations.

“We’ve been a trusted name in the industry for many years, but we know that staying ahead requires embracing new technology,” said Sean Leavey, CEO of True Blue Glass.
“This grant will enable us to upgrade our capabilities, particularly with the addition of the Phantomatic M3 CNC machine. It’s a game-changer for our production process, improving speed, precision, and efficiency.”
The anticipated impact of this investment is substantial. True Blue Glass projects a 15% increase in annual revenue, a 15% growth in workforce over the next two years, and a 2.5% increase in market share within Southeast Queensland. These outcomes reflect the company’s drive to remain a leader in the competitive glass and aluminium manufacturing industry.
The opportunity to apply for the grant was identified by True Blue Glass’s strategic marketing partner, Versed. The Versed team played a pivotal role in the application process, from identifying the grant opportunity to preparing compelling collateral and refining the pitch to ensure a winning submission.
“We were stoked to receive the good news from Sean,” said Rachael Hedges, Director of Versed.
“This machine is a vital asset for True Blue Glass. It’s going to increase their quality, professionalism, and operational efficiency. It’s incredibly rewarding to support a business that’s deeply committed to its community and growth.”
True Blue Glass’ success story doesn’t stop there. The company recently won the 2025 Logan Business Distinction Award for Building and Construction and were named “Most Innovative Business” at the 2024 Trade Services Award night, hosted by the Logan Chamber of Commerce.
As a family-owned business now entering its third generation of leadership, True Blue Glass continues to prioritise community impact and workforce development. Notably, the founder’s granddaughter, Jess, is currently assuming a leadership role within the organisation.
As True Blue Glass continues to grow, it is also actively recruiting new team members to support its expansion. The company’s focus on innovation, people, and sustainability makes it an attractive employer for those seeking meaningful, long-term career opportunities.
With the backing of the Queensland Government, True Blue Glass is set to amplify its production capacity, foster local employment, and drive economic growth for the Logan region. This grant solidifies its position as a forward-thinking leader in the glass and aluminium industry, and the community can expect to see even greater achievements from this local success story.
